spring

it was a curious yet delightful
pattern emerging, a new life
unfolding, a new world birthing,

spring has come strong and hard,
sudden and smooth, a gentle warm
breeze that delights the senses,
everything is more rich and vibrant
today than yesterday, my blood is
tingling and my bones are breathing,
i could feel the ebb of the earth
turning, the ancient winds blow again,
i am awake,
